Delta Downs Lady Luck - Charity Golf Tournament Oct. 12-14

The Women’s Golf Association of Rayburn Country is holding a Charity Two-Lady Partnership Golf Tournament on October 12-14, 2008 at Rayburn Country Club and Resort benefitting CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).  This organization’s mission is to care for abused, neglected and abandoned children by providing safe, permanent nurturing homes in the Jasper County area as well as around the nation.   CASA is a 501 C-3 nonprofit organization.

The tournament is being called Delta Downs Lady Luck.  Committee member, Debbie Breaux, first told us about the charity tournament with the greatest emphasis on the profound need of support for CASA.  In speaking with her, it was evident that her first hand conversation with the CASA program leader here in Jasper had quite an impact on her.  She reiterated, “These kids need our help.”   The CASA program is striving to help children from birth to age 18 meet their immediate and primary care needs right here in our area.  The proceeds from the tournament will be staying here assisting children in the Jasper Country area.
